These
incredible aerial shots show the U.S. in a way you've never seen it
before - from suburban housing estates to sprawling deserts, the amazing
images show the vast expanse of scenery the country has to offer.
Deep
craters in Arizona's red desert and swamps and wetlands in Florida and
Louisiana look like they could be alien planets, alongside urban images
of houses and freeways.
Pilot
Jassen Todorov, from San Francisco, spent three weeks flying across
eight states in a 1976 Piper Warrior plane to capture the amazing shots

From
his home in California, Jassen flew across the country to Florida via
Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama.
Mr
Todorov, 40, said: 'I have always wanted to fly across the US from
coast to coast, and my plane is perfectly suited for southern winters
and northern summers, when the weather is not too extreme.
'The
trip took me three weeks, flying for around four hours a day, but I
stopped along the way to visit friends and explore the southern states.
'I'm so happy with the way all the pictures turned out, I can't pick a favourite.
'All
the areas were very interesting and distinct - the deserts of
California, Arizona and New Mexico are spectacular, Mars-like
landscapes, with many craters and red soil.
'Florida's coasts and islands are colourful and brilliant.
'I
wasn't too keen on the massive oil fields in Texas, and the off-shore
drilling in the Gulf of Mexico - there was so much pollution in the air,
land and water.'
