Nelson
 Mandela is honoured at the United Nations on his 95th birthday, Nelson 
Mandela Day. The former US president, Bill Clinton, and the UN secretary
 general, Ban Ki-moon, give speeches in his honour. The former president
 of South Africa remains in hospital where he is suffering from a 
recurring lung infection
